Acceptance of Terms & Player Eligibility
Welcome to PicRush. These Terms of Service ("Terms", "Agreement") constitute a legally binding contract between you ("Player", "User", or "you") and PicRush ("PicRush", "we", "us", or "our"), operated by its founding team based in Maharashtra, India. If a legally registered corporate entity succeeds the founding team, all rights, obligations, and licenses hereunder shall automatically transfer to such entity without requiring additional notice. These Terms govern your access to and use of the online gaming platform available at https://picrush.app (the "Site"), our native mobile client applications (via Capacitor), and our real-time multiplayer WebSocket infrastructure (collectively, the "Services").
By creating an account, authenticating through Google Sign-In, accessing a multiplayer room code, playing in Guest Mode, or otherwise utilizing any portion of the Services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and our companion Privacy Policy (https://picrush.app/privacy) . If you do not agree to all provisions contained herein, you must immediately cease all access to the Services.
Age Requirement & Minor Protection
PicRush is designed as an accessible, family-friendly educational game suitable for students, language learners, and general audiences. You must be at least 13 years old, or such higher minimum age as may apply in your jurisdiction, to create an account or use account-based features. Where required by applicable law, parental or guardian consent may also be necessary. If you are under the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction (typically 18), you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf. PicRush does not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 without the consent required by applicable law.
Description of Services & Game Modes
PicRush is an arcade-style visual cognitive puzzle game designed to sharpen pattern recognition, reaction speed, and English vocabulary recall through progressive image unmasking challenges. The Services include, without limitation:
Asynchronous single-player timed challenges featuring procedurally revealed imagery, combo multiplier streaks, and personal time-record tracking across categorized decks.
Synchronized real-time multiplayer rooms orchestrated over full-duplex WebSockets. Players compete simultaneously via private 6-character room codes or open matchmaking lobbies.
Curated daily challenge tracks designed to foster cognitive consistency, vocabulary expansion, and global player leaderboard benchmarking.
Server Authority on Scoring: Point values, reveal countdown timers, combo streak bonuses, and Levenshtein typo-tolerance algorithms are calculated and validated by PicRush server authorities. All scoring determinations rendered by the platform are final and non-discretionary.
Player Accounts & Authentication
PicRush provides two distinct access tiers designed to balance rapid, friction-free entry with robust cross-device cloud persistence:
| Account Tier | Credential Required | Data Persistence | Cloud Sync & Leaderboards |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google OAuth Account | Google ID (OpenID Connect) | Encrypted PostgreSQL cloud database | Full cloud sync across web, mobile, and multiplayer |
| Guest Mode | None (Zero PII collected) | Local device storage (localStorage / SQLite) | Temporary match play; reset upon browser cache wipe |
Account Responsibilities:
- You are strictly responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and all gameplay actions executed under your profile.
- You must immediately report any unauthorized access or security breach of your account to security@picrush.app.
- PicRush will never ask for your Google account password. Never disclose authentication passwords or private recovery keys to any party claiming to represent PicRush.
Fair Play Code of Conduct & Anti-Cheat Policy
Fair competition is the foundational integrity of the PicRush experience. We operate active heuristics and telemetry monitors to detect, prevent, and penalize unfair competitive advantages. You explicitly covenant and agree that you will not engage in any of the following prohibited behaviors:
| Prohibited Practice | Technical Description | Platform Enforcement Action |
|---|---|---|
| Automated Bots & Typing Macros | Using script injectors, auto-typers, keyboard macros, or headless browsers to submit answers. | Immediate permanent account termination & IP ban |
| Reverse Image Search & OCR | Capturing canvas frames through OCR scrapers or automated visual search tools (e.g. Google Lens). | Match voiding, stats forfeiture & account suspension |
| Packet Injection & Protocol Tampering | Manipulating WebSocket packets, spoofing client timestamps, or exploiting round state machine bugs. | Permanent ban and, where appropriate, referral to relevant service providers or authorities |
| Asset Scraping & Database Ripping | Scraping puzzle images, answer dictionaries, scoring curves, or player database endpoints. | Account termination, IP block, and potential legal action where permitted by applicable law |
| Win-Trading & Coordinated Collusion | Colluding with secondary accounts or players to artificially inflate ranks or match awards. | Leaderboard purge & seasonal rank demotion |
Multiplayer Etiquette, Room Codes & Nicknames
Multiplayer rooms connect players globally in live cognitive competition. To safeguard a respectful, safe, and inclusive community:
Player Nicknames & Display Avatars
Your player display name is public across match rosters and leaderboards. Nicknames must NOT contain profanity, obscenities, hate speech, racial or religious slurs, sexually suggestive terms, impersonations of PicRush founders or staff, or personal identifying information (PII) of any person. PicRush reserves the right, to the extent permitted by applicable law, to reset non-compliant nicknames to default system tags (e.g., "Player#3041") or suspend persistent violators.
Private Room Security & Host Governance
Room creators generate unique 6-character room codes. The host bears full responsibility for the distribution of their room codes. Room hosts possess the technical moderation power to configure round rules and kick disruptive or offensive participants from the pre-game lobby. PicRush is not liable for unwanted participants joining a match if the host distributed room codes publicly.
Intellectual Property & Limited License
The Services, including the visual game client, procedural puzzle generation engines, curated image clue databases, sound effects, audio tracks, custom UI components, scoring algorithms, and brand trademarks ("PicRush IP"), are the exclusive proprietary property of the PicRush founding team and its content licensors.
Limited Non-Commercial License Grant
Subject to your ongoing compliance with these Terms, PicRush grants you a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, personal license to download, install, and execute the game client on authorized devices solely for your own personal, non-commercial entertainment.
Reservations of Rights: No rights, title, or interest in any software, source code, game assets, or algorithms are transferred to you. You may not copy, decompile, disassemble, reverse engineer, lease, rent, sublicense, or build commercial derivatives of any portion of PicRush without our express prior written consent.
Virtual Points, Stars, Leaderboard Ranks & Zero Gambling
Throughout gameplay, you may unlock points, stars, streak badges, accuracy percentages, and leaderboard ranks (collectively, "Virtual Metrics"). You acknowledge and agree to the following governing rules:
Virtual Metrics represent arcade-style scoring indicators of skill and vocabulary recall only. They do NOT constitute real currency, legal tender, digital cryptocurrency, property, or stored economic value of any kind.
PicRush is a pure game of skill and vocabulary knowledge. PicRush does not support, facilitate, or condone real-money wagering, betting pools, loot boxes, or games of chance. Using PicRush match outcomes for gambling is strictly prohibited.
No Transfers or Redemptions: Virtual Metrics cannot be sold, exchanged, traded, gifted, or redeemed for fiat currency, physical goods, gift certificates, or financial compensation under any circumstance.

Service Availability, Latency & Connectivity
Real-time multiplayer gaming requires continuous, bidirectional communication between your client device and our WebSocket game servers. You understand and agree that:
Client-Side Internet Dependency
Latency, round timing accuracy, and guess submission success depend directly on the quality of your cellular or broadband internet connection. PicRush is not liable for round losses, disconnects, or lag spikes caused by client-side network interruptions or high ping times.
Scheduled Maintenance & Updates
We reserve the right to modify, upgrade, or temporarily pause game servers without prior notice where reasonably necessary to deploy bug fixes, seasonal content updates, security patches, or server infrastructure migrations.

You have the right to request deletion of your account and associated personal data as described in these Terms and our Privacy Policy. You may permanently delete your player profile, authentication tokens, match records, and settings at any time directly through Account Settings → Delete Account or by sending a verified deletion request to privacy@picrush.app. All personal identifying records are purged from active production stores within 30 days.
